Crews are constructing the passings network throughout the City of Holland. The passings network consists of the fiber lines that go past every home, making fiber connectivity available to everyone in the City of Holland. Some of the fiber will be underground and some will be overhead. 

Just as a water main goes past every home to provide access to water, a fiber optic passing goes past every home to provide access to data. As the passing network is built, neighborhood by neighborhood – fiberhood by fiberhood – service will roll out as it becomes available.

Holland BPW is rolling out Fiber Internet services as the network gets built. Services will be available as fiberhoods come online, and we will let you know when our services will be available at your location. 

Customers can sign up for service by filling out the Interest Form and checking the boxes at the end that say:  

• Yes! I want to sign up for Holland BPW Fiber Internet service. Use this form as my initial application when services are ready in my area.  
• I agree with the Terms and Conditions

This means that when your fiberhood is ready, we will contact you to schedule your installation.

No, you do not have to pay a fee upfront to get Holland BPW Fiber Internet service.  

The monthly rate includes the cost of connecting your home the fiber network.

No, there is no data cap. Whether you sign up for 2 Gbps or 10 Gbps service, there is no data cap on your BPW Fiber Internet service.

If your fiber is going to connect underground, you need to mark private lines to protect your property.

Utility lines will be marked with Miss Dig Flags. However, private utility lines such as sprinkler systems, buried lines to out buildings, septic systems, drain fields, etc. are not a part of the Miss Dig system.

On the Fiber Build Authorization form, you have an opportunity to tell us about any private lines you are aware of on your proprty. This section is important if your elecctricity is underground. If you are unsure about how Fiber will drop to your home, contact fiber@hollandbpw.com.

Holland BPW Fiber typically enters the house through the basement. A skillful technician drills a hole sized for the fiber optic cable and nealty seals the hole after pulling through.

As a best practice, Holland BPW will try to install your ONT near the electric panel in your basement. The ONT requires power from an electric outlet.

4 things you can do to ensure a smooth installation process

1. SAFETY. Provide a safe workspace for our installers. Make sure that areas inside and outside are easy to access. Clear foliage and brush outdoors, clear the space and walkway to the electric panel, secure pets while the installation takes place.

2. POWER OUTLET. Identify a power outlet to use for the ONT. The ONT needs to be plug in. If there is no power outlet near your electric panel, have one put in before fiber installers arrive.
